AQUALON

Used in the manufacture of trailerable boat covers and tops due to its durability and dimensional stability, Aqualon is offered in more than 30 solid colors. Aqualon is described by the manufacturer as:

  • A two-ply polyester duck double coated with a pigmented vinyl resin on the topside. The underside is coated with a durable water resistant finish.
  • Excellent dimensional stability and weight-to-strength ratio.
  • Remains flexible in all climates.
  • Color will not rub off.
  • Resistant to mildew, abrasions, water penetration, most petroleum products, ultraviolet rays and a wide range of acid and alkaline liquids.
  • Won't crack, peel or harden.
  • 5-year manufacturer's limited warranty.

At 9oz per square yard we feel Aqualon is well suited for mooring covers, travel covers, and cockpit covers. The vinyl coated topside makes an easy surface to keep clean. The fabric does need to be vented.

SUNBRELLA

Sunbrella is a premium, luxurious fabric used in many marine applications. Sunbrella is described by the manufacturer as:

  • 100% Solution dyed acrylic construction.
  • Excellent fade and weather resistance.
  • Available in solids and tweeds.
  • Water and mildew resistant, and well suited for boat tops, covers, curtains, sail bags and other marine uses. Backed by a manufacturers five year limited warranty.

At 9.25oz per square yard, Sunbrella is a popular choice for bimini's, enclosures, cockpit covers and full covers. Sunbrella fabric does not require venting, but we still suggest it.

Designed to withstand tough marine environments, marine carpet adds style to both interior and exterior marine applications:

  • Manufactured utilizing the finest solution dyed fibers.
  • Maximum UV protection, resisting fading and degradation.
  • Mold, mildew and stain resistant.
